I have been a Caps fan since i was 8 & my mom worked at The Capital Club at the Capital Center in Landover. She sometimes had to bring me to work with her & she would have the ushers keep an eye on me when i attended games. I always had seats next to the bench. It was way cool. At age 15 in 1986 I was attending a game with a friend. During the 1st intermission we walked around to get food....yea right we were 15 looking for boys! All the sudden I see some guy wearing the same ski jacket as me & he was cute. Well the story is still continuing. We dated all thru high school, took several "breaks" and finally got married in 1997. My mom saved the coat which happens to be red, white, & blue from when we met at the game back in 1986 and that was the last picture at our reception. We have now been married for 12 years. Our son who is 8 just started playing last year. Most weekends we are at the rink supporting our budding hockey star. We Rock the Red for every game & everything stops when the CAPS are on! I am not even allowed to look at my cell phone during games in case any of my friends has texted updates. Two weeks ago I missed my sons last game to stand in line at Giant for 4 hours just to get Mike Green to sign my authentic jersery I got for my birthday. Stanley Cup here we come! What an exciting time to be a Caps fan & I am proud to Rock the Red! My love story & passion for the Caps continues on.
