How I Became A Capitals Fan

I've been a die hard Raiders fan for 30 years. I love football and lived for the season every year. I also get very depressed when the season is done. My friend, Amanda, took me to a Hershey Bears game, Feb.14 2009. It was bring a friend day and it was also my first hockey game, ever. We watched warm-ups and she was telling me who the players were. I had no idea what was about to happen. It was time for the puck drop. The game was on and I was hooked. I loved how fast the game was and how the game kept moving. What a difference from football, where the game stops after each play. So now, I have a million questions for her and she patiently has taught me about the game, The Bears and of course The Caps. I get so emotional for these guys when they get called up and do great. John Carlson is my favorite. This kid is like the James Bond of Hockey. He plays with such poise and is so suave, that I picture him playing in a tuxedo. I'll always be a football fan, but I never expected to love another sport, like I do hockey. I think the whole organization from the Caps down to the Stingrays is one of the best, of any sport. Thank you for a great and exciting season.
